QUÉBEC CITY, QC: The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is in Québec City to offer free legal information and advice to the truckers of the Freedom Convoy 2022.

By 3:00 p.m., there were between 5,000 and 10,000 demonstrators in the vicinity of the parliament building, massed on Place de Tourny or marching alongside a double line of trucks nearly a kilometer long on René-Lévesque Boulevard. Hundreds of pick-ups and cars added their horns to the chorus of heavy trucks.

A spokesman for the demonstrators urged supporters not to retaliate against possible police provocations, and assured them of the assistance of volunteer lawyers in case of difficulties.

“The Justice Centre is proud to help defend the political freedoms of these people of good will”, says Samuel Bachand, a lawyer with the Justice Centre.

The Justice Centre will remain on site through Sunday.
