Justice Centre to sue Alberta Health Services over mandatory covid vaccination policy

CALGARY: The Justice Centre has sent a legal warning letter to Alberta Health Services (“AHS”) on behalf of at least 20 AHS employees who have been threatened with the loss of their jobs if they do not agree to receive one of the experimental mRNA Covid shots. The demand letter, addressed to President and CEO Verna Yiu, sets out the constitutional objections of the employees, details a portion of the scientific studies on which the employees base their objection to the shots, and informs AHS that if the vaccine mandate is not rescinded the Justice Centre will commence litigation.

On August 31, 2021, Dr. Yiu on behalf of AHS informed all employees that they must get two doses of the new Covid shots by October 31, 2021, or lose their employment. The latest an employee can get their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is October 16 to be considered fully vaccinated by October 31, 2021. The shots have been given warnings by Health Canada for myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis, and Bell’s Palsy. In addition, according to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (“VAERS”) in the United States, the adverse events reporting database operated by the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) and the Center for Disease Control (“CDC”), COVID-19 vaccines have resulted in over 16,000 deaths in the United States alone. In addition, VAERS reports that the vaccines are associated with 9,446 life-threatening events, 8,958 permanent disability events, 36,894 hospitalizations, 298 hospitalization prolongations, and 75,926 emergency room visits.

The letter from the Justice Centre calls this threat against the workers it represents “threatening and coercive”, “morally repugnant”, and an insult to every individual’s inherent human dignity. The letter notes that AHS’ threat against the livelihood of its employees “vitiates any possibility of informed consent.”

The letter touches on several of the many scientific studies on the safety of the Covid shots, not reported on by Canada’s government-funded media who have received hundreds of millions in tax dollars. The studies referred to in the letter contain the following information:

  • Natural immunity has been confirmed to provide superior protection to vaccine immunity, according to peer-reviewed scientific research;
  • The vaccinated are capable of contracting and spreading the Delta variant of Covid just as much as the unvaccinated;
  • The mRNA shots may lead to infertility, according to research by well-known Canadian immunologist Dr. Byram Bridle;
  • There is a confirmed elevated risk for heart inflammation (myocarditis) resulting from the mRNA injections in younger males;
  • There is a confirmed elevated risk of anaphylaxis to the shots in women; and
  • There is a proven risk of death arising from the new mRNA Covid shots.

Despite aggressive pressure from media and threats from governments, millions of Canadians have thus far decided that they cannot give informed consent to the Covid shots, and have decided to wait for further data.

“Threats, coercion and duress destroy informed consent,” states John Carpay, President of the Justice Centre. “Canadians have a constitutional right to life, liberty and security of the person, protected by the Charter to weigh the data and make an informed decision regarding the safety and efficacy of the Covid shots. The AHS threat against tens of thousands of medical professionals is coercive and unethical, and it is unconstitutional.”
